The Alfa Fellowship Program is a high-level professional development exchange program placing 10 American and 5 British citizens per year in work assignments at leading organizations in Russia in the fields of business, economics, journalism, law, and public policy.  Key goals of the Alfa Fellowship Program are expanding networks of American, British and Russian professionals, developing greater intercultural understanding, and advancing US/Russian and British/Russian relations.

In addition to individualized professional assignments, the Alfa Fellowship Program includes language training in the US/ UK and in Russia, an orientation seminar in Washington, DC, a Moscow seminar program, and regional excursions in Russia. Throughout the program, Fellows also participate in a regular series of topical seminars and meetings with key officials to discuss current issues and developments in Russia.

The Fellowship covers travel, accommodation, health insurance and a monthly stipend.

The Alfa Fellowship Program is funded by a grant from Alfa-Bank. The Alfa Fellowship Program is represented in the US by CDS International, Inc., in the UK by Oxford University and in Moscow by the Fund for International Fellowships & Cultural Dialogue.
